Haulover Beach Park—a clothing-optional beach–is a 0.4-mile stretch of beach between Sunny Isles Beach and the Haulover Inlet. This swath of land draws an international crowd. Nestled between the Intercoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean, it has pristine white sand shores, open ocean surf, various shaded picnic facilities, beautifully landscaped sand dunes, and concession stands. The beach is ideal for surfing as well as swimming.

Park Activities
Haulover Marina
The marina and surroundings are set up to be enjoyed by the nonboating community. Haulover offers a host of rental opportunities including boats, bicycles and kites with quick and easy ocean access and a underground path that leads visitors straight to sparkling Haulover Beach (clothing optional).
The Marine Center features a fully enclosed dry storage for personal watercraft and boats up to 60’ in length. There’s also a retail store, gas dock, bait shop, boat rentals, marine service department.
Fishing
Fishing spots are available in designated areas along Baker’s Haulover Cut and along the shoreline of the Intracoastal Waterway on the bayside. Must have valid fishing license. No fishing allowed in swimming areas or adjacent to marina facilities. Please refer to posted signs.
Skate Park & Pump Track at Haulover Park
Bring your boards or bikes and experience the state-of-the-art skate park and pump track. The skate park features ledges, a roof top bank, a china bank, stairs and a taco. Alternatively, jump on the world-class Velosolutions asphalt pump track for a unique wave-like ride. Any set of wheels roll through this park with endless lines. For everyone’s safety, follow all posted rules.
The park is a partnership between the City of Sunny Isles Beach and Miami-Dade County. Its central location makes it easy for surrounding municipal neighbors to share in the skateboarding fun.
Open daily from sunrise to sunset for pedestrians and cyclists; parking lot opens at 8 a.m. and closes 30 minutes before sunset on weekdays and 1 hour before sunset on weekends and holidays. Parking in this area is limited and closes when capacity has been reached. Admission is free but parking fees apply. A signed waiver is required for kids under 18.
Kite Flying
Recognized as one of the best places for people to fly kites in South Florida, the open space and ocean breezes of Haulover Beach Park make it the ideal location for flying kites.
Skyward Kites has been in operation for over 20 years and boasts the largest selection of kites, windsocks and wind spinners in Miami, from $5 and up; in all shapes and sizes, from diamonds and deltas to Para-foils and box varieties. They can also create a custom kite according to your desired specifications.
With the addition of a state-of-the-art, solar-powered concession trailer in 2009, designed and custom-built by owner Dan Ward, the kite shop now also has ice-cream treats and cold drinks available for purchase. Plan your next birthday party or event with kite-flying fun. Open from 10 a.m. to sunset, seven days a week (closed on Christmas Day) and located on the southeast corner of the Bill Bird Marina parking lot.
Bicycle Rentals
Electribike Miami offers standard and electric bicycle rentals from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Hourly rentals are available for a ride around the park and surrounding areas. Daily and weekly rentals are available with delivery and pick-up locations outside of the park.

Food Trucks Tuesdays
Every Tuesday night from 5 – 10 p.m. enjoy Food Trucks Tuesdays at the Bill Bird Marina under the stars. The food truck round-up features an assortment of foods and treats offered by local food truck vendors along with music and entertainment for the whole family. Parking is free; pets (except for service animals) and glass containers are prohibited.
