Miami Children’s Museum
Miami Children’s Museum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational institution, which meets the needs of all children in our multicultural community. The Museum offers interactive exhibits, programs and learning materials related to arts, culture and our community. Miami Children’s Museum encourages visitors of all ages to play, learn, imagine and create together.
The Museum is dedicated to enriching the lives of all children by fostering a love of learning through play and enabling children to realize their highest potential.
Their vision is to be recognized as a premier institution serving children and their families while inspiring children to learn about themselves and the culturally diverse community we live in through art, science, literacy and early childhood education.
Establish Miami Children’s Museum as a primary center for school readiness, educational enrichment and entertainment for all children and their caregivers. Build alliances with families, educators, community organizations and promotional partners to meet the developmental needs of all children in our community. The 56,500 square foot facility, located on Watson Island, was designed by Arquitectonica International Inc., an award-winning Miami-based architecture and design firm. The building, for and about children, represents the elements of the world; earth, wind, water and fire. Our facility includes 17 galleries, a preschool (ages 12 months – 5 years), a charter school (kindergarten – 5th grade), the KidSmart educational gift shop, a 200-seat auditorium, and a Subway restaurant.
