Sunny Isles Beach continues to enhance its reputation as a world-class destination for luxury travelers with the unveiling of a new suite at one of its most celebrated oceanfront properties. Acqualina Resort & Residences on the Beach has introduced the One-Bedroom Oceanfront Villa Suite with Convertible Den, a thoughtfully designed space that blends contemporary elegance with Mediterranean-inspired warmth.
Created by Isabel Tragash of STA Architectural Group, the new suite offers 2,767 square feet of refined living space, including nearly 900 square feet of outdoor terraces overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Situated on the resort’s fifth floor, the suite combines the atmosphere of a private residence with access to the amenities, dining, and personalized service that define the Sunny Isles Beach luxury experience.
Design That Reflects Coastal Sophistication
The Villa Suite embraces a modern aesthetic influenced by Mediterranean design traditions. Neutral tones, curved lines, and layered textures establish a calm, inviting environment enhanced by soft uplighting and warm materials. The open-concept floor plan connects the gourmet kitchen, living, and dining areas to create a seamless flow from one space to the next.
“The One-Bedroom Oceanfront Villa Suite represents a new chapter of luxury at Acqualina,” said Deborah Yager Fleming, CEO and Partner of Acqualina Resort & Residences. “It’s designed for both extended stays and intimate escapes, giving guests the feeling of a private home while enjoying the service and amenities that have become synonymous with the resort.”
The kitchen features Calacatta Oro marble countertops, Miele appliances, and elegant cabinetry, complemented by a light-filled living area designed with custom furnishings and fine details. A locally crafted alabaster bouclé sofa, Italian coffee tables, and accent pieces by Casa Dio and Restoration Hardware create a modern yet timeless feel. Lighting from Rejuvenation and Revelite adds warmth, while carefully selected textiles and wallcoverings introduce depth and visual interest.
Artistic and Residential Touches
Throughout the suite, artistic elements add character without overpowering the serene design. Abstract works by Domenica Brockman and textural wallcoverings by Innovations and Philip Jeffries offer subtle sophistication. Handcrafted SKLO Taper Vessel vases and Imperial Glass pieces provide decorative flourishes, while a curated library of designer books enhances the residential atmosphere.
A Serene Primary Suite
The primary bedroom serves as a tranquil retreat, furnished with a Pianca bed by Note Design Studio, Cattelan Italia nightstands, and a sculptural crystal pendant light by Possini Euro Design. A curved, leather-paneled wall conceals the television and adds discreet storage, ideal for long-term stays. The adjoining bathroom continues the refined aesthetic with Cosmos stone floors, onyx wall cladding, dual vanities, and high-end fixtures from Dornbracht and Kohler.
Flexible Space for Modern Travelers
A highlight of the new design is the convertible den, which easily transforms from a private office into a guest bedroom. Outfitted with Italian millwork, a concealed queen-size bed, and its own bathroom, the den provides flexibility for families, couples, or remote-working travelers seeking extra space.
Outdoor Living with Ocean Views
The Villa Suite’s expansive terraces—nearly 900 square feet combined—extend the living space outdoors. Designed as alfresco lounges, the terraces feature furnishings from Harbour’s Victoria Collection and lush greenery that evokes the feeling of a secluded garden above the shoreline. Guests can enjoy panoramic ocean views, sunrise coffee, or evening cocktails against the backdrop of the Atlantic.
A New Expression of Sunny Isles Beach Luxury
With the introduction of this new suite, Sunny Isles Beach continues to solidify its position as a premier destination for sophisticated travelers seeking sun, culture, and world-class hospitality. Known for its pristine beachfront, fine dining, and collection of top-rated resorts, the city offers an elevated experience for visitors who appreciate design, comfort, and exceptional service.
The One-Bedroom Oceanfront Villa Suite with Convertible Den exemplifies the evolving definition of luxury accommodations in Sunny Isles Beach—spaces that are as livable as they are beautiful, blending artistry with a strong sense of place.
The suite is now available for reservations starting at $4,000 per night.
